The Rockefeller Brothers Fund: Was invited to participate in a two-day retreat, Dialing Back the “Fear Factor”: Reframing the Story of Muslims and Islam in the U.S. Media, Pocantico Conference Center, Tarrytown, New York, November 11-13, 2009.

IRTS Faculty/Industry Seminar: Was competitively selected and invited by the International Radio & Television Society to participate in the Annual Faculty/Industry Seminar, Disney Channels Worldwide: Leadership and Influence in the Global Marketplace, Burbank, California, August 10-12, 2009.

TOKTEN/United Nations Program: At the invitation of the United Nations Development Programme and the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Information under the UN’s Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals (TOKTEN) project, served as a consultant for the implementation of a doctoral degree program in Communication Studies at the Allameh Tabataba’e University in Tehran (June 18-August 24, 1994).
